Need some buddies to get your butt in the chair? Come to Gen Writing!
We gather on zoom from 6:30pm - 8:30pm EST every Tuesday AND every Saturday from 10am -12pm EST. In a google doc all attendees have access to, Kate posts a new prompt every week. At the start of the session, we unpack the prompts at the start of class, then everyone writes independently for a 60 minute block, after which we take a 5 minute break before reconvening.
In the last hour, writers have the opportunity to read 500 words of what they worked on out loud for on the spot encouraging feedback, and to share about how the writing went during the hour or how their writing practice is feeling generally.
Registration gets you on the list for the next session! Zoom link and prompt gets sent out on the day of.
