Book Buddies Week of July 13

Book Buddies! I’m on vacation this week starting Monday the 13th and home on Friday! Garth is filling in for Gen writing and there are no feedback groups except for on Saturday 7/18 at 12:30. Ali and Helen have floor time! I’ll be running gen writing on Saturday!

Here’s the prompt.

July 14 and 18

Singers

I told some of you that on Saturday 7/11 a few friends of mine and I got a singing room and did karaoke for  few hours to celebrate my birthday. It was the most fun. Because this is top of mind as I write this, our prompt this week is based on the act of singing. 

Begin a new piece in any genre, or work on a part of a WIP where it makes sense for you to include: 

• A wedding singer

• An event that happens in a private singing room

• An event that happens at a bar with karaoke

• A chorus

• An acapella group

• A pop star

• A regular person singing medium well to bad in their car

• A bird with a particular birdsong

ALSO Kill Your Darlings Reading Series is happening on 7/18 at Darlings bar and cafe in Easthampton. Erin Sommers, Sarah Sawyer, Sarah Browning, and Natalie Lemle are reading. Come and hang out! Doors at 4, reading starts at 4:30. Would LOVE to see you.
